Derwen Cottage is lovely and warm, with heat and hot water from the wood-fired Rayburn cooker. We light it for you, and teach you how to keep it going. If you go out for the day, we will light it before you return so you are greeted by warmth and comfort. We supply all the wood fuel for your warm and comfortable stay in the cottage, linen, and tea and coffee.
The cottage is set up for self-catering. The local Brechfa village community shop (3 miles) has all you need for daily groceries, and depending on the season we can offer you organic fruit and vegetables and our own Pistyllgwyn honey.
The kitchen is equipped for you to enjoy cooking.
We have a washing machine and dryer in the barn for you to use.
All linen and towels are included, with extra blankets and bedding available.
We have books, art materials, toys and games.
There is ample ample off-road parking.
We do not provide television. There is a land-line for emergency use but in general around the buildings there is no mobile reception. A walk into the fields can sometimes bring you a signal.
If you have disability needs, please be in touch so we can inform you whether the space is adaptable for your use. We have a ramp to get wheelchairs in and out as well as access to a bathtub in the barn if you cannot use a shower.
